By Website writer; Ugandan singers Jose Chameleone and Pallaso have flown to Tanzania to attend deceased President John Pombe Joseph Magufui’s burial.
The two brothers traveled on Sunday, March 21, 2021, aboard Air Tanzania jet and are expected to be joined by other musicians across the African continent to pay last tributes to the fallen Tanzania leader.
Chameleone confirmed their sad trip to Tanzania as he shared a video on his social media platforms while boarding Air Tanzania jet at Entebbe International Airport.
“Ndugu zangu wabongo, poleni Sana kwa msiba mkubwa wa rais mpenda wanyonge, ili ni pigo kubwa ila mungu atatuvusha. Mimi na Ndugu yangu Pallaso tumeungana nanyi kumuuaga Rais Magufuli🙏 Mungu ametoa, mungu ametwa jina lake lihimidiwe, amen,” Jose Chameleone wrote.
President Magufuli’s casket is being taken to several different locations around the country for public viewing before his burial in his hometown of Chato on Friday.
The Late Magufuli has been such a darling in the East African region’s entertainment fraternity.
To Jose Chameleone, the most touching memories were when President Magufuli apprehended him for promoting the Swahili language across the world via his music for quite a long period of time.
