By Website writer; National Unity Platform (NUP) and Bobi Wine’s close associate, Nhetto Qlan has finally been released after almost a month at Kitalya mini max prison.
Nhetto Qlan was arrested by security organs in their intensified operations mainly targeting NUP supporters that were allegedly planning to protest.
Taking it to his social media on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Nhetto Qlan appreciated fellow NUP supporters for pressurizing the government for his immediate release.
“Fellow Ugandans. Allow me in a special way extend my sincere heartfelt appreciation for the efforts and pressure you mounted on the dictatorship to ensure my release from Kitalya mini max prison,” Nhetto Qlan.
According to Bobi Wine, Nhetto Qlan was on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 afternoon surrounded by a group of heavily armed men in plainclothes who bundled him in a Noah vehicle, Reg. No. UBE 569R as he was going about his business around Acacia Mall.
Nhetto Qlan is a founding member of the fabled FireBase Army, a youth fan base group of Bobi Wines music.
