By Website Writer; Hon. Jacob Oulanyah has vowed not to return as deputy speaker in the 11th Parliament.
Oulanyah who earlier revealed his interests in the position of speaker of the 11th parliament, packed up his personal property and handed over the former office as his term came to an end on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
“I’m sure am not coming back and am going home now my term ends today,” Jacob Oulanyah said.
He is expected to vie for the position of speaker on the NRM party ticket against two-time Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.
That decision on who to endorse will be made this weekend.
Oulanyah is yet to pick expression of interest forms at the NRM secretariat for the Speakership position.
Today, Oulanyah Jacob took his oath as Omoro County Legislator in the 11th Parliament.
