Congolese Music Legend Kanda Bongo Man Endorses Eddy Kenzo’s Remake Of His 90’s Classic, ‘Moni’.

African music legend Kanda Bongo Man endorses Eddy Kenzo’s remake of his golden track “Moni” and asks music fans all over the world to support the Ugandan star, with everything they got.

The BET award winning artiste real name Edirisa Musuuza, dropped the visuals of his latest track dubbed “Moni” (the remake) on Friday, and it caused some mixed reactions as some fans approved of it, while others believe that a new collabo with the Congolese music legend would do way better.

“Moni” is a song originally done by celebrated Congolese Soukous musician Kanda Bongo Man, and was so popular back in the 90s, having been recorded in the late 80s.

From his London home, the 66-year-old singer Kanda Bongoman, has urged music fans whole over the world to give Eddy Kenzo all the support he needs and encourage him to grow even bigger, having been able to penetrate through the music ranks at such a young age.

While releasing the new ‘Moni’ visuals, the 32-year-old musician revealed that Mr. Kanda Bongo Man was very welcoming and supportive of the idea to redo his 90s classic, and believed Kenzo had earned the right to step in his shoes, having done justice to the industry, for the 13 years, he has been doing music.

He thanked the Congolese legend for giving him the consent and for being a good father figure in his music career, having been inspired by him since he was a child.

“Congolese music has always been unique and has been identified in Africa and all over the world. I had a chance to meet the legendary Kanda Bongo Man and he was so welcoming and kept advising me over the years, about how I can also leave a mark, in African music.” A grateful Eddy Kenzo noted.

The song Produced by Gee Speed comes off the Big Talent Entertainment singer’s 21-track album Made In Africa which was released early this year in April.

The new visuals were directed by Encision TZ’s Denden and Mjukuu, with choreography done by Jokers Family.

At the moment, Eddy Kenzo’s ‘Moni’ video has accumulated over 114,000 views on YouTube in just two days, and will surely grow bigger as days go by…
