Makerere University Business School, (MUBS) lecturer and researcher Juma Bananuka has been confirmed dead after battling serious injuries he sustained following an attack by a group of thugs known as Kifeesi last Friday night that beat him up and robbed him.
According to reports we received, Juma Bananuka succumbed to wounds on Sunday morning at Mulago Referral Hospital where he was receiving treatment from.
“MUBS has lost one its best researchers. He just finished his PhD and was waiting for graduation. Robbers beat him and he died today in Mulago. Rest in peace Juma Bananuka,” read a tweet that was shared.
MUBS students and staff were notified that Bananuka had been attacked by unknown criminals with an aim of taking his life .
