William Ruto sworn in as new President of Kenya

By Website Writer; William Samoei Ruto has taken oath as the fifth President of Kenya at a packed stadium witnessed by over 20 Heads of State.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) President together with Deputy President-Elect Rigathi Gachagua were sworn-in on Tuesday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi.

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24,” President William Ruto said upon swearing.

President William also Ruto received the Presidential Ceremonial Sword to become the Commander In Chief Of The Defence Forces of Kenya.

President William Ruto accorded a 21- gun salute honour.

On Monday, September 12, 2022 H.E Ruto and wife Catherine was taken to a tour, orientation and smooth management of the handover process at the State House Kenya by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Chief Justice Martha Koome handed the Certificate of Inauguration to President William Ruto.

This comes in a week after Kenya’s Supreme Court in a unanimous decision upheld William Ruto’s win in the August 9, 2022 Presidential elections.

This was after opposition leader Raila Odinga challenged his victory.

President of Uganda, H.E. YK Museveni was among the witnesses at the Inauguration of H.E. William Samoei Ruto as the 5th President of Kenya.

On arrival at JKIA, Museveni he was received by Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda H.E. Maj. Gen. (Rtd) George Aggrey Owino.

Nigerian billionaire & Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote also attended President-elect William Ruto’s inauguration ceremony.
