NTV media personality Faridah Nakazibwe has disclosed why she hardly takes photos with strangers in public gatherings.
Any fan would jump at the chance to get a picture with their favorite star when the opportunity arises. However, some have concealed agendas beyond keeping these photos for future reference.
Some, however, have concealed motives beyond simply keeping these photos as momentous. It is for the aforementioned reasons that Faridah Nakazibwe made the commitment to be cautious before taking photos with anyone.
The choice was reached by the mother of two after learning the hard way in 2021 when one of her followers took a photo with her which some bloggers used to run stories that she was getting married to that person.
However, the alleged wedding did not take place at the scheduled time, and the gentleman’s wife left his marriage as a result of hearing about the story.
Faridah Nakazibwe revealed this in response to Asan Kasingye, a former assistant inspector general of the police, who had advised internet users not to pose for pictures with anyone after someone shared his photo claiming he was the father of her kids.
Sometime in 2021, the internet was awash with stories of me getting married soon. They shared a picture of a guy and me. I couldn’t remember the guy and when the picture was taken. I called a friend to be sure it wasn’t photoshop. He said it is real. The wedding stories went on.
Weeks later, a friend at whose thanksgiving the picture was taken called to say the guy’s wife had left coz of the rumor. The date of the ‘wedding’ came and passed by.’ The bloggers have never updated their followers. Now, I only take selfies at Serena, my workplace.
