DJ Rasta Rob MC has come out to clear the air about his past relationship withZari Hassan. He claims he is the one Zari should thank for her success. One of the most respected legendary DJs and radio host Rasta Rob MC, real names Robert Ogwal, is not a figure you will often see in the newspapers or on TV unless he has something important to pass on to his fans.
The DJ was recently interviewed by a local TV and he revealed so much about his past relationship with socialite Zari Hassan. He says that around 1996, he was one of the top DJs in the country and he usually moved around the country to perform at gigs.
He was usually booked in Jinja and performing at a famous hangout spot in Jinja called Sailing Club. This is the place where he first met Zari who was by then about 18 years old and really good looking, though still a villager.
Zari was attractive and Rasta Rob got into a relationship with her. It is then that the DJ brought Zari to Kampala from her village life in Jinja. Rasta Rob transformed Zari’s life and taught her the ways of the urban lifestyle since he was a famous figure at the time and considerably rich. Rasta Rob says Zari was quick to adapt to the city lifestyle and picked up the trending fashions way too easily that he had imagined.
Despite whatever he had offered and done for her, Zari left Rasta Rob for a richer guy when she got to know she could live independently in the city on her own. That was pretty much how their relationship ended but Rasta Rob still freshly remembers the memories they shared while together.
Zari after Rasta Rob has never been the same village girl she was before. She has dated a number of famous men allover East Africa including Diamond Platnumz, Ivan Semwanga, Isaac Lugude, Farouk Sempala, among others.
Well, Rasta Rob won’t let any of them take his credit.
