Socialite Bryan White has fired all Ugandan artists and comedians who have been in his foundation. The artists have been moving with him everywhere he has been going and also performing other duties in the foundation among which included singing and preparing the venues.
According to a reliable source from the foundation, Bryan told all musicians and comedians to re-apply for jobs, he however warned them that this time around, they have to provide their academic papers if they are to qualify. This has sent fears down the spines of many of these artistes who don’t have academic papers.
The source also told us that the issue of calling for academic papers is one of the tricks that Bryan white is using to fire some of them even though they have been so royal to their boss.
Among artists and comedians who have been on the Podium include Jose Chameleon, who has been the latest recruitment in the foundation, Weasel Manizo, Big eye, King Micheal, Pallaso, Alex Muhangi, Chicco, Madratt, Mendo who mimics president Museveni.
“Bryan White has been treating celebrities like students in a school. They put on the foundation uniforms and wear identity cards, they are also required to report to the foundation at exactly 8am and leave at 6pm. Because of this full time engagement, most of these artists put their music careers on hold to serve the foundation.
The Grapevine tried to contact the big boss Bryan White but he never picked our calls. Even his personal assistant Stellah didn’t pick our calls.
Some members in the foundation told us that the information is true because artists were even ordered to take back the identity cards meaning that they are no longer part of the foundation unless they apply and provide their academic papers.
When we contacted King Micheal, he said that it’s very true they were all laid off. He told us that the reason for their firing was that the boss (Bryan White) called for a training on Thursday at Munyonyo but most of them never appeared. This annoyed the big boss and he told them to return his identity cards and vacate his foundation. Micheal says that all the artists and comedians on the podium had signed contracts but the boss terminated them. It was only Jose chameleon who had no contract because he has been the adviser.
“We don’t know what to do now, we are just waiting for what will come next but most of us have returned his identity cards, we shall go with whatever he decides,” a crestfallen King Micheal told us.
